Thanks for stopping by. As a teaching artist, cultural program director, and community arts advocate, I understand and value the role we play in the cultural development of our communities. Through the arts and education programs we design and manage, we strengthen the social infrastructure of society and provide the opportunity for youth, families, and adults to creatively and critically reflect on the world around them. When done well, participants build new relationships, take risks, break barriers, challenge one another, and most importantly have fun, memorable, and authentic experiences. These experiences are the building blocks of a more diverse, innovative, educated and empowered culture. I have personally witnessed the power of quality cultural arts programming and I believe in its transformative potential. I look forward to seeing you at one of our next events in San Antonio.
